Unable to resist: The incredible, edible bacon-wrapped hot dog
So tonight, while doing field research in Roma, the unmistakle scent of the grilling bacon-wrapped hot dog drew me to cart on the sidewalk. How could I resist honoring L.A.'s most decadent street snack here in Mexico City, especially tonight? The dog I had just now was garnished only with relish and onion, but still, I had to have two.
(At 15 pesos a dog, I should have had FOUR.)

You should have had TEN. I envy you. They don't have these out in Boston. WHY?????

It sounds like you're homesick, D. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Whenever I see those hot dogs I immediate think Downtown shopping in los callejones. Hardcore, but fun nonetheless. There's the Dodger Dog and Pink's, but none can compare to the bacon-wrapped hot dog. Cheers!

Maybe I'll lose my Latina street cred here, but damn those things look disgusting. I'm proud to be a (brown) vegetarian.
