An interesting report by Ky-Phong Tran from a bit ago. At the New American Media awards in Washington, D.C. 2008 presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton made an appearance. From Người Việt Daily News:
“A fresh political wind is blowing in Washington,” the former First Lady said. “Ethnic media represent the way the new Washington needs to connect to the new America.”

Politicians are hounds for money, votes and access. That’s part of the business. So when the New York headliner came and made a short speech, it meant more than just a kind gesture. It meant she knew that we had access to a whole new and important voting bloc for her.
