Not that anyone is going to actually buy it, and not to sloppily add more hype where there seems to be an abundance, but Kanye West's new album "Graduation" is coming out, mercifully, on Sept. 11. Months ago it seems a friend sent me this link for "Can't Tell Me Nothing." Only recently -- with all the two-faced murderous incompetent fecal matter that surrounds us -- has Kanye's unfiltered defiance begun making absolute, perfect sense. You can be forgiven for feeling, like I did, that he's speaking just for you:
He also throws in some Daft Punk love on "Stronger." In other, somewhat related news, MALDEF has scheduled a press conference for Thursday to announce a federal class action suit on behalf of demonstrators injured by the LAPD at MacArthur Park on May 1. "Excuse me? Is you saying something? Uh-uh, you can't tell me nuthin'!"
